Once upon a time, there was an old tree standing at the edge of an abandoned forest. People told spooky stories about this tree because it was so old that it was said to have stood during the time of witch burnings.

One day, a group of friends decided to take a dare and visit the old tree. As they entered the forest, they felt a strange coldness that chilled them to the bone. When they finally reached the tree, it was covered in a thick layer of moss and lichen. Its branches stretched in all directions, and its roots twisted like snakes around the trunk.

The friends decided to take a photo of themselves with the tree, but when they looked at the picture, they noticed something strange. In the background of the photo, a face was visible that looked like that of an old woman with deep wrinkles and sharp teeth. The friends were scared and ran away, but when they looked back, they saw that the tree now seemed to be alive. Its roots moved like tentacles and reached out for them.

The friends ran as fast as they could, but the tree seemed to follow them. When they finally emerged from the forest, it was dark, and they were completely exhausted. They swore never to go into that forest again and never to visit the old tree. But since that day, it is said that the tree still lives and stretches its roots at night to search for new victims.
